The Role:

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  • Working closely with SENCOs and external professionals to deliver tailored support plans
  • Encouraging engagement and positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom

  • Are patient, empathetic, and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Understand the challenges faced by young people with additional needs
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Are Team Teach or de-escalation trained (desirable but not essential)
