Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Bushey. We re currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 support to a child with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), helping them access learning and thrive within a nurturing school environment. If you re dedicated to supporting children with additional needs, we d love to hear from you.
The Role:You ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted 1:1 support for a pupil with GDD. Your role will be key in ensuring they receive the emotional, academic, and social support needed to progress confidently in the classroom.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:Supporting learning and development through tailored strategies and activities
Assisting with the implementation of the pupil s Individual Education Plan (IEP)
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Liaising with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Adapting resources to meet the pupil s individual learning style
Recording and reporting on progress
Experience supporting children with Global Developmental Delay or similar developmental needs
A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
Strong communication and collaboration skills
An understanding of SEN best practices
A commitment to helping children reach their full potential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A long-term role in a supportive school environment
Competitive daily rate: GBP85 GBP100 per day (depending on experience)
