Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Partington (Sporting Background Preferred)

Start Date: February 2026
Location: Partington, Manchester
Contract: Full-time

Are you passionate about education and sport? Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in Partington to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience as a sports coach or a strong sporting background. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for sport with supporting pupils’ learning and development in the classroom.

The Role
  • Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 in both classroom and physical education settings.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Lead or support small group interventions, including activities that promote teamwork and physical well‑being.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through sport‑based strategies.
  • Help organise and run PE lessons, sports activities, and extra‑curricular clubs.
Requirements
  • Experience working as a sports coach or in a sporting role (school or community setting).
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils through physical activity and teamwork.
