Job description

The Education Specialists are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Trafford, committed to providing exceptional education and support to pupils aged 11-16. We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of our young people.

Long-term Teaching Assistant position to start in February 2026. The role is full time Monday to Friday, ongoing, and will be a permanent position for the right candidate.

Long-term Teaching Assistant role to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including ASD, PMLD, complex needs, and SEMH.

The school has provisions for pupils aged 11-16 who have an education, health, and care plan (EHCP) that reflects their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, you will be fully committed to individually support the children, help them overcome challenges, engage in learning, break down barriers, and achieve positive outcomes.

The school offers a creative curriculum, a very child-centred and nurturing approach, designed to meet each child’s individual needs, with a large focus on sports activities to help the children regulate their emotions.

We are looking for someone with empathy, a positive and energetic attitude, an interactive and engaging approach, and who can commit full time long term.

You will be joining a warm, collaborative, welcoming and supportive team.

We will be delighted to hear from you; this is an amazing opportunity to be part of an experienced and dedicated team.

We offer a specialist Teaching Assistant (TA) training course, if you feel this would be beneficial, please let your consultant know.

How to Apply
