Job summary

Ruishton Church of England Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is seeking a Part Time Teaching Assistant to support learning across classes within term-time hours.

You will work 18.25 hours per week over three days (8:45am–3:20pm), supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with reading and writing, and helping implement adaptations for SEND needs, under the direction of the class teacher.

Qualifications

• Experience in education.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Patient, empathetic and passionate about children's education.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with pupils with SEND as required.
• Provide activities and learning support for reading and writing.
• Implement adaptations identified by the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Work as part of staff to support teaching, and supervise at breaktimes.
• Provide objective and accurate feedback to pupils to extend learning.
