Job description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? Our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Primary School is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic individual to join our team and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

We are working alongside a primary school to recruit teaching assistants to start as soon as possible. The school believes in building an ethos of emotional awareness and understanding (emotional quotient) before focusing on academic achievement (intellectual quotient). This approach allows us to promote meaningful, long‑term growth and the holistic development of every child.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs (or a genuine passion to learn).
  • Be patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, trusting relationships.
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive and skilled team.
  • Be flexible, proactive, and ready to make a positive impact from day one.
In return, the school offers:
  • A welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • The chance to be part of a passionate team dedicated to the emotional and educational growth of every pupil.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference and help shape the journey of the "whole child," we’d love to hear from you.
