Teach Midlands is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support the learning of children in a Rushden school. You will work with children on an individual, group or whole class basis and assist the Phase Leader and SENDCo as required.

Responsibilities include supporting pupils with SEN, aiding access to learning activities, and contributing to safeguarding and welfare. A first aid qualification is preferred or willingness to obtain it, with a commitment to nurturing children’s confidence and

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting
• Experience with pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Ability to support learning 1:1, in small groups or whole class
• Able to adapt provision to individual needs
• Safeguarding awareness or willingness to train
• First aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)

We are looking for:
A Teaching Assistant to join our awesome team to support the learning of children. You will work with the children on an individual, group or whole class basis and support the school as required by the Phase Leader and SENDCo

You will:

• Have experience of working in a school in a similar role
• Have experience of working with children with special educational needs
• Support pupils in accessing learning activities within the classroom, in small groups or 1:1, as necessary
• Support pupils with their social and emotional needs
• Support our teachers by providing feedback and maintaining records
• Value the diversity of individuals
• Recognise that children have very different and individual needs and be able to tailor your provision accordingly
• Be able to motivate and encourage children on an individual basis and as part of a group
• Be nurturing and contribute to building children’s resilience and independence
• Possess or be willing to obtain a first aid qualification
• Be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children you are responsible for or come into contact with, in accordance with school procedures
