Job summary

Ringwood School in Ringwood, England, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with and without additional needs. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to remove barriers to learning and foster an inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to support learning in classroom, small groups and one-to-one.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

Job description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students in and out of the classroom, helping to remove barriers to learning and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with their learning, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
• Assisting in classroom activities, small group interventions, and one-to-one support
• Encouraging and promoting independent learning and student confidence
• Providing pastoral care and supporting students' social and emotional well-being
