Job summary

East Brent CofE Academy in Highbridge, United Kingdom, is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support across the school. The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, including 2.5 hours midday supervision.

Salary scales are Grade 15 £25,614–£26,016 FTE, with an actual starting salary of £18,772 pro rata. Apprenticeship routes with HLTA training are also welcomed; pay follows the apprenticeship scale for year 1 (£15,434 FTE).

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Brent CofE Academy, and we are looking to secure a classroom-based Teaching Assistant to support across our school.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant who is passionate about education, supporting learning readiness, raising attainment and assisting children in our amazing school. You will need to demonstrate that you are flexible, patient, caring and that you can fit in with a dedicated and hardworking staff team to become part of our friendly and supportive school community.

This is a Part time, term time only position on a Fixed Term Contract working 32.5 hours per week (to include 2.5 hrs as a Midday Supervisor)

Salary Scale Grade 15 £25,614 -£26,016 FTE
Actual starting salary £18,772 pro rata

Applications from candidates interested in undertaking this role as a Level 5 Teaching Assistant apprentice with HLTA training will also be considered. If this route is chosen, this role will be paid on the apprenticeship pay range which is £15,434 FTE for the first year rising to National Minimum Wage in the second year.
