Job summary

Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a 2-form entry primary in Colindale. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, with daily pay £105–£110 and term-time hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Start ASAP.

You will work closely with the SENCO, teachers and families to implement targeted strategies and promote inclusive learning, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• At least 1 year of experience working in education.
• Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech & language needs desirable).
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with staff, pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Implement targeted strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and external specialists.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Support emotional regulation and positive routines throughout the school day.
• Work closely with class teachers to ensure full access to the curriculum.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Contribute to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
