Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties, and autism. We have a Primary school (New Oaks) and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students.

We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in our Secondary School. You must be passionate about working with students with special needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment. You must be competent with using Makaton signing and symbols for communication and essentially have experience of working with students with autism and complex needs. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief. Actual Salary: £26,809 - £28,439 annum

Contract Details
  • Contract Type: Permanent, term time only
  • Hours of work: 32.25 hours per week
  • Monday: 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (to support curriculum team)
  • Tuesday to Friday: 8.30 am to 3.30 pm

Induction: The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment induction prior to commencing employment.
