Job summary

London Borough of Bromley is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant at Darrick Wood Junior School to join a supportive team and work under teachers and the SENDCo/Inclusion Manager. The role involves mainly 1:1 support with children and occasional small-group work, in a 39-week year.

The successful candidate will help deliver maths and speech and language interventions where possible, promote wellbeing and positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, and contribute to an inclusive

Actual pro-rata salary: £13,802.75 per year

(salary is paid in equal amounts over twelve months)

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our talented team of support staff, working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, under the leadership and supervision of the class teacher(s) and the SENDCo/Inclusion Manager. They will be required to regularly work on a 1:1 basis with children but also with small groups of children, including those with SEN, and as a class TA supporting the children's learning needs and supervising their general care. Experience of delivering maths and speech and language interventions would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be a caring, supportive and inclusive professional who is passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing as well as promoting positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues. They will be able to show initiative, provide interventions and deliver positive learning experiences, working well as part of a team as well as independently.
