Job summary

The Riverview Academy in Gravesend is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break, 38 weeks per year, term-time only.

Ideal candidates will have a TA qualification with GCSEs English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent and experience supporting children, including those with learning difficulties, to fulfil their potential.

Qualifications

• TA qualification required with English and Maths GCSE (A-C) or equivalent.
• Experience with children with learning difficulties or delivering interventions is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; flexible attitude.
• Ability to contribute to a team and maintain high expectations of learning and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and activities.
• Assist with interventions for children who need additional support.
• Help create a positive learning environment and promote good behaviour.

This role is for a fixed term contract until 31 August 2027, 32.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday 8.30am -3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break, 38 weeks per year, term time only. The full-time salary for this is currently paid at KSA, £26,168, pro-rata to an actual annual salary of £19,610.16.

2. ideally has experience working with children with learning difficulties or delivering interventions
3. passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential
4. hold a TA qualification with GCSEs in English & Maths A-C or equivalent
5. committed to high expectations of children's learning and behaviour
6. excellent communication and personal skills and a flexible attitude.
