St. Peter’s Church of England Aided School in Exeter is looking to recruit two teaching assistants to support students with SEND needs.
The roles involve working within a team to assist pupils across Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Physical and/or Sensory needs. Successful candidates will demonstrate patience, empathy, listening skills and a good sense of humour, with English and Maths GCSEs at C grade or above or equivalent.

As a result of a number of our current TA’s successfullymoving onto teacher training courses and increasing numbers of students withEHCP’s we are excited to be looking at recruiting two TA’s. Applications from candidates with experienceof working with children with SEND needs and those who are seeking to becometeachers are strongly encouraged to apply.TA’s will be working within a team supporting students who have needsrelating to Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social,Emotional and Mental Health and Physical and/or Sensory needs.
Personal skills would include:
Full Time: Monday to Friday – 29 hours and 10 minutes perweek for 38 weeks per annum plus one training day per academic year.
Part Time: In the region of 12.5 hours per week (2 days) for38 weeks per annum plus one training day per academic year.
