Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Wrotham Road Primary School are looking for a highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join their excellent team.

This position is for 29.17 hours per week, 8.40am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour unpaid break per day, for 38 weeks per year. The salary of £24,513 full time equivalent, actual pro rata salary £16,414.02.

Experience of working with children in an educational setting is required along with:

  • good English and Mathematical skills
  • relevant qualifications NVQ 2 and 3 in childcare and learning (level 2 only may be acceptable if a willingness to work towards NVQ3 can be demonstrated)
  • flexibility and use of initiative
  • strong communication skills
  • the ability to work alongside as part of a team
  • patience and understanding of the ways different children learn
  • a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
