Protocol Education is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Tower Hamlets area, who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students aged 11–16 across a range of subjects. You’ll work alongside experienced teaching staff to help deliver high-quality lessons, provide targeted support to students who may need additional help, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one support or small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist with preparing lessons and classroom resources.
  • Encourage student engagement and assist with promoting positive behaviour.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting back to teaching staff.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a school or similar educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and proactive in your approach.
  • A team player who is willing to learn and take initiative.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is beneficial but not essential.
