Job summary

Academics is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across Buxton and the surrounding areas on flexible assignments during the academic year.

Roles offer exposure to different primary year groups, with ongoing support from an education consultant and opportunities for longer-term roles. Salary will be determined by the client pay policy and your qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a UK school, nursery or classroom environment.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Patient, caring and encouraging approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities across primary year groups.
• Cover and assist in a variety of primary school settings across Buxton and surroundings.
• Collaborate with class teachers and school staff to deliver activities.
• Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines during supply sessions.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have:

• Previous experience working in a UK school, nursery or classroom environment

• A reliable, professional and enthusiastic attitude
• The ability to travel to schools across Buxton and the surrounding areas
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential
