Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with SEND at Castlefell School in Bradley Stoke. You'll help learners develop skills, raise confidence, and work closely with teachers and therapists to create a nurturing, stimulating classroom.

Ideally experienced in a classroom, we can provide full training. You’ll join a supportive team, benefit from a generous holiday pattern aligned to school terms, and grow through opportunities across our network.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is beneficial.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities and lesson delivery alongside the teacher.
• Assist children with learning tasks and developing key skills.
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment and monitor wellbeing.

Our new Castlefell School is a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school, catering primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs but also providing for children with autism who have moderate learning needs. The school provides education for up to 50 children aged 8 to 16.

This new exciting opportunity serves Rudgeway and the wider communities, you are at the heart of its development. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the heart of what is offered.
