Job summary

Saffron Green Primary School in Hertfordshire invites applications for a flexible Class Support role focused on nurture and inclusion across Key Stages 1 and 2. The post supports pupils and class teachers, including small group work and classroom duties.

The role is 30 hours per week, term-time only, Monday to Friday 08:45–15:15. You will need patience, excellent communication, and strong behaviour management, with safeguarding at the forefront.

Saffron Green is a vibrant and inclusive primary school, proudly rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, at the heart of our community, we are looking to recruit a passionate and flexible class support with a focus on nurture and inclusion.

This role will be based across Key Stages 1 and 2 (Years 1-6), supporting pupils and class teachers. The successful applicant will be flexible in their approach and have excellent communication skills and strong behaviour management skills.

The role involves working with small groups directly and support the class teacher with any classroom duties that may be required. We are looking for someone who shows patience and understands the needs of our vulnerable children, adopting a caring and therapeutic approach.
