The Witherslack Group is hiring a Teaching Assistant in Birmingham to support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs. You’ll help them learn, develop abilities and raise self-esteem, while remaining resilient through a challenging but rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Support learning for children and young people with ASD/SEMH needs; help raise self-esteem and develop learning abilities.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individualized support plans.
• Provide a safe, inclusive environment and monitor pupil progress during lessons.

About Bescot Hall

Bescot Hall is a purpose-built, brand new, state‑of‑the‑art school primarily catering to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs but also providing for children with autism who have moderate speech and learning needs. The school provides education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16.

This new exciting opportunity serves Walsall and the wider communities, placing you at the heart of its development. Our aim is to ensure every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the core.
