Job summary

Sharnford Church of England Primary School is seeking an experienced KS2 Teacher to join our small village school on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work within a welcoming team, upholding our Christian values while delivering engaging learning experiences.

The ideal applicant will be highly organised, capable of independent work, and committed to building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents. We offer supportive CPD and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • KS2 teaching experience in a similar setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with clear workload priorities.
  • Excellent communication with staff, parents and pupils.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professionalism.
  • Flexible, solution-focused and creative in approach.
  • Self-driven, collaborative team player with initiative.

Responsibilities

Job description

Sharnford is a small village school of three classes, we strive to ensure that the children who come to us are given every opportunity to develop socially and emotionally as well as academically. We pride ourselves on being a school with a very strong family feel, where staff and children know each other extremely well, treat each other with respect and most of all, feel included, valued and safe. We are looking to recruit and experienced KS2 practitioner who can work independently and be part of a close team in a small school.

Our vision, 'Many hearts make our school nourishing, flourishing and fruitful', is at the heart of all that we do and this core principle rests upon a strong foundation of Christian values which we ensure the children in our care know and use in their everyday lives.

We are very much part of the community of Sharnford and develop good links with the village by regular visits to St Helen's church as well as by participating and contributing to local events. Being part of a multi-academy trust ensures we can offer not only a broad, varied and rich curriculum but also a wide range of many valuable learning experiences too.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join our highly committed team to work in KS2. The successful applicant will ideally be:

  • Experienced in a similar role

  • Highly organised and able to set clear priorities in managing their workload

  • Able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, parents and pupils, both in person and in written communications

  • Able to work calmly under pressure

  • Able to show a 'can-do' attitude and seek solutions to problems

  • Able to work flexibly and creatively

  • Happy, co-operative and able to work on own initiative

  • A strong team player

  • A person who demonstrates excellent initiative
