Contract Type: Supply (Part Time Wed Fri)

TeacherActive are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking secondary school in the Birmingham area that prioritises an inclusive learning culture, academic ambition and strong pastoral support.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Teacher of Sociology & Psychology to work part time, Wednesday to Friday, starting from January.

The Social Sciences department is well regarded and offers an engaging curriculum that encourages students to think critically, analyse real-world issues and develop independent learning skills.

The successful Teacher of Sociology & Psychology will:
  • Hold UK QTS
  • Deliver high-quality lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
  • Use effective assessment strategies to support progress
  • Create a classroom environment where discussion, debate and curiosity are encouraged
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Social Sciences faculty
  • Hold (or be eligible for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
