Overview

Our Science department is looking for a fixed term Teacher of Science to help inspire our students and ensure they reach their full potential.

  • Contract Type: Fixed term ending February 2027
  • Hours: Full Time, 32.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £32,916 - £37,101 per annum
  • Pay scale: MPS 1 – 3
  • Expires: Monday 10th November 2025 at 9am or sooner should we receive sufficient applications
  • Start Date: 02 February 2026

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will supplement and enhance a strong established and supportive department. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by our teaching and learning team including Lead Practitioners and a strong SLT. The department is led by a well‑supported team with a strong commitment to improving standards, and the appointed candidate will play a lead role in curriculum development alongside progressing and enhancing teaching practices within the academy and beyond. They will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to curriculum development and support colleagues in improving teaching and learning within the science subject area.

Qualifications and requirements

The department seeks a dynamic and forward‑thinking individual with the ability to teach across the key stages. The successful applicant will be a high calibre teacher who can make a telling contribution to the forward‑looking team. We are committed to diversity, equality and inclusion, and welcome all applications. The role may suit experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
