WELCOME TO COLTON HILLS Many Minds, One Mission
A community school where everyone works together as a family towards shared goals and school values: PRIDE - Participation - Respect - Integrity - Diversity - Excellence. We believe every child is entitled to the highest quality learning experience, with no barriers to high achievement and no excuses for not succeeding. Students are exposed to powerful knowledge and culturally rich experiences in every lesson, with ongoing reflection on improvement. Colton Hills has been judged a Good school in 2018 and 2023, and we are committed to improving that judgment in our next inspection — not for our own glory, but to give our students the best deal possible. The school serves a rich, harmonious, multicultural community and supports all students up to and including our growing sixth form. It is located south of Wolverhampton city centre, on a site with green space and views across hills and fields. We benefit from excellent facilities for staff and students, including an on-site swimming pool, AstroTurf pitch, dedicated Sixth Form block, flexible breakout spaces, and a large theatre used by local groups for performances. We are a school with a real family feel and a strong House ethos.
Our outcomes show that we are a successful school and we are growing, with a robust whole-school cohort of over 1000 students. With a healthy financial picture and strong governance, we are expanding our staff to provide the best possible experiences for our students, delivering an exciting curriculum and developing their confidence and aspiration by surrounding them with inspiring adults. We are looking to add capacity to our already well-staffed and excellent Science department, which has a track record of outstanding results. The team includes experienced professionals and newer colleagues with exciting ideas — a great team to join.
Colton Hills Community School is committed to safeguarding all staff and students. The successful applicant will undergo an enhanced DBS check and online/social media checks.
