New Mills School is a small, friendly 11–16 secondary school in the High Peak, close to the Peak District National Park, yet within easy reach of Stockport and Manchester.

Following a very positive Ofsted report rating us ‘Good’ in all areas, we are looking for an exceptional male teacher to join our team. Ofsted praised our ambitious leadership, high-quality teaching, and strong student attitudes to learning, and we are now seeking an inspirational teacher to support our successful Open Faculty.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and are looking for a male PE teacher who shares this passion.

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified subject specialist with a genuine passion for teaching PE. We would welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers.

Our perfect candidate
  • An excellent male teacher of Physical Education, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes for students.
  • An enthusiastic and innovative team player dedicated to improving teaching and learning by sharing good practice and developing others.

  • A stimulating and friendly working environment where every member of staff is valued, supported and makes a significant contribution to the school.
  • Provision of high-quality CPD.
  • A community of friendly, engaging students, who are full of character and have a lot of potential.
