Overview

Benenden School is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Teacher of Mathematics & Computer Science to join our successful, supportive and innovative team.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A Level, and play an integral role in delivering Data Science within our developing digital curriculum at KS3. The post also includes teaching on our distinctive Digital Futures course, which currently runs for four lessons per week.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher who brings experience teaching Mathematics across all key stages, including GCSE and A Level, and a genuine passion for helping young people develop confidence and curiosity in the subject. An interest in Computer Science, Data Science, or digital innovation will be a distinct advantage.

Mathematics is one of the largest and most successful departments at Benenden, housed in a dedicated suite of classrooms and staff facilities. Computer Science is a rapidly growing subject, taught at both GCSE and A Level, and increasingly embedded within our Lower School digital learning programme.

Our students are highly motivated and engaged, achieving excellent results and participating enthusiastically in a wide range of enrichment opportunities including Maths Olympiads, UKMT Challenges, and popular lunchtime clubs and societies. The department also prepares students for university entrance assessments such as MAT and STEP and provides opportunities for all staff to teach across the full 11-18 age range, including Further Mathematics.
