The ideal candidate will have QTS and a strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, committed to students' success. The school offers a supportive leadership team, competitive salaries, and opportunities for professional development. Applicants are encouraged to foster a positive learning environment and engage with a diverse student group.
Based in West London, just 30 minutes from Clapham Junction, the Rivers West London Campus incorporates Rivers Academy West London and the STEM‑based Space Studio West London. The Academy is Ofsted rated Outstanding and Space Studio is Ofsted rated Good, both committed to supporting outstanding outcomes for our students.
We work hard to foster high levels of self‑worth within an Academy community that has the very highest expectations across uniform, behaviour, attendance, and punctuality. We want to empower future generations to follow their dreams. Rivers and Space Studio are great places to work, with a strong focus on career development. Many of the staff who trained with us are now in leadership positions, and supporting staff development is important to us.
At Rivers we ask our students to take risks, be creative and make mistakes. As educators we are encouraged to think big, improvise and fail forward, leveraging student interests and real‑world problems to design engaging, discipline‑based projects that drive curiosity for learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Teacher of Mathematics who is committed to securing the best possible outcomes for our students and who will play an important pastoral role in leading the Academic Mentoring (Tutor) group. You will be part of a specialist Maths department that provides Post‑16 classes across the Maths specialisms and has inspired students throughout Key Stage 3 and 4.
