Leigh Academy Blackheath in London area is seeking a qualified History teacher to deliver high-quality learning across this curriculum area. The role is maternity cover until January 2028 with potential substantive appointment within the Leigh Academies Trust.

The post offers MPS/UPS based on experience plus Inner London Allowance, Teacher Pension Scheme, and access to a free virtual GP. You will join a supportive, collaborative department that values research-informed practice and SEND.

Job Summary: We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of History who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students across this curriculum area.

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of History who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students across this curriculum area. Our successful candidate will be driven, motivated and most of all, passionate about the visual arts and nurturing creativity.

You will be part of a vibrant, experienced, supportive team; we believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies. The visual arts are highly valued at LAB, and if successful you will be joining a well-resourced and successful department.
