About the Role

A forward-thinking secondary school in Redhill is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History Teacher to join their team on a 0.8 FTE basis (4 days per week). The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering a passion for History while supporting academic achievement and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Plan and prepare differentiated lessons and schemes of work to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Promote student engagement and participation in History-related events and projects.
Candidate Requirements
  • QTS or QTLS qualified.
  • Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History.
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
