We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Government & Politics to join our thriving Sixth Form team at Hertfordshire & Essex High School. Government and Politics is an increasingly popular A Level subject, and this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to its continued growth and success.

Key responsibilities
  • Teach A Level Government & Politics courses and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons.
  • Shape an ambitious and dynamic curriculum, promoting critical thinking, debate and independent learning.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports pupil development.
Required qualifications & experience
  • A love for the subject and a genuine passion for political ideas, institutions and contemporary issues.
  • Experience teaching A Level subjects.
  • A commitment to academic excellence and inclusive classroom practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire curiosity and debate among students.
  • Valid teaching qualification and, if required, statutory references confirming right to work in the UK.
