Job Overview

Emanuel School is seeking an exceptional Teacher of French and German to play a key role in a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department, challenging, engaging and inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging French and German lessons, creating a challenging and stimulating classroom climate that motivates pupils to learn, think independently, take risks, empathise with others and perform to the best of their abilities.
  • Contribute to departmental trips and the varied and engaging languages provision for the lower school.
  • Undertake a pastoral role as a form tutor or co‑tutor (if an ECT).
  • Get involved in the wider life of the school through co‑curricular activities and outreach programmes.
Qualifications
  • A modern foreign language degree (French/German/joint) with high honours.
  • Ability to teach both French and German to at least GCSE level.
  • Experience desirable; ECTs welcome.
