We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of French to join our Modern Languages team on a maternity cover basis. You will deliver engaging, high‑quality French lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop their linguistic skills and cultural understanding. Experience or willingness to teach Key Stage 3 Spanish is highly desirable. In a supportive and collaborative faculty you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge and motivate learners of all abilities, while fostering independence and confidence.
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have excellent subject knowledge in French, with a strong understanding of effective language teaching strategies. Experience or willingness to teach Key Stage 3 Spanish is an advantage. You should be able to plan and deliver lessons that cater for diverse learning needs, use assessment to drive progress and employ strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement. Strong communication skills, good ICT competence and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. Above all, we seek someone who is passionate about languages, committed to high‑quality teaching, and eager to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
