Job description

Witchford Village College is an expanding village college for Years 7 to 11 located two miles west of the historic city of Ely, and we are part of the Eastern Learning Alliance.

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of English to join a successful and dynamic Faculty. As a school, we are innovative in realising the potential of all our students, and we offer an excellent, supportive environment in which to work. There is an extensive CPD programme for all staff, and the English Faculty is highly collaborative, leading to the production of excellent resources for students. Students enjoy their studies of English, and the subject contributes to a Good, vibrant school with above-average outcomes for students.

There is a strong culture of creativity, with all students using their own iPads to learn in an engaging way. Our English curriculum is relevant and exciting; students study a diverse range of voices in poetry, plays, and novels, and also explore texts such as graphic novels and animated films.
