Required for: Easter 2026

The Derby High School is the highest performing school in Bury, Greater Manchester and has sustained this position for a number of years. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to teach Design & Technology. Design Technology, Engineering, Food Technology and Health & Social Care, together with Computing, ICT and Business, form the Technologies Faculty. We are passionate about delivering a high-quality and engaging curriculum and aspire to be a beacon of practice in the Technologies subjects. This is a great opportunity within a dedicated, hardworking and forward-thinking faculty where you will be supported to develop your teaching practice. It is desirable for the successful candidate to be capable of teaching Food Technology and Engineering.

We are an over-subscribed 11-16 Co‑Educational School situated in the heart of Bury, Greater Manchester. Year on year our students make exceptional progress and we are currently the highest performing school in Bury for Progress 8.
