Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Art teacher who can inspire, motivate and challenge students at Key Stage 3 and 4, while managing the learning environment to support all learners’ progress.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Capacity to motivate, inspire and challenge young people
  • Capacity to manage the learning environment and student behaviour in a manner conducive to productive learning for all students
  • Ability and commitment to supporting both literacy and numeracy strategies alongside the subject of art
  • Ability to inspire confidence in and establish excellent relationships with pupils, teachers and parents
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively deploy a range of teaching and learning styles to suit the nature of the course content and the ability and attainments of students
  • Ability to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 art
Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess art lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
  • Support pupils’ development in visual literacy, creativity and practical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into the broader curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning.
