A special educational institution in Walsall is seeking an SEN Primary Teacher to support children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and resilience, work collaboratively with a supportive staff, and adapt teaching methods to promote inclusion. No prior experience is required, and training will be provided to ensure successful integration into the role. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' lives.
Cherry Tree School is a new special school in Walsall, offering the highest quality of education for up to 75 children (3-19) with a range of additional needs.
We are looking to recruit an SEN Primary Teacher who will join us on this exciting journey, enabling the school to grow and evolve. We are seeking a Teacher who ‘just gets’ children, has a marvelous sense of humour and who has the flexibility and determination to ensure that Cherry Tree is the first choice of school for children, parents and local authorities.
Our aim is to provide innovative and enjoyable education, therapy and early intervention for pupils, sometimes (and only where appropriate) enabling them to successfully return to mainstream schooling, but always helping them to become happy, positive and valuable members of society.
Cherry Tree School enables pupils to access a curriculum that offers a personalised education rooted in social and emotional development, rich in speech and language, enabling the very best achievement both personally and academically.
We do not require an experienced SEN Teacher, as comprehensive training will be provided and the level of support provided will enable the post holder to develop very quickly. Thus, we welcome applications from Teachers from Mainstream or Special, Primary or Early Years School settings, who are looking for something different. The recruitment process is about finding the right personality with huge amounts of potential, who will be as excited as we are about developing and expanding our group of schools.
Cherry Tree School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with current and past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
