Job summary

A local government organization in Tees Valley is seeking a Call Centre Administrator to provide administrative support, handle calls, and coordinate with service users and health professionals. This role requires excellent ICT skills, experience in frontline administration, and the ability to work in a busy environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, at our offices in Middlesbrough.

Qualifications

  • Excellent ICT and keyboard skills required.

  • Confidently use computer systems while handling calls and interacting with customers.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills needed.

Job description
Role Overview

You will be working in a small but at times very busy call centre and will be required to provide a wide range of administrative support including call handling and data entry. The main duties include taking incoming calls, making outgoing calls and co‑ordinating with Service Users, their families, Health and Social Care Professionals and your colleagues to ensure the prompt delivery of medical equipment into client homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take incoming and make outgoing calls while using the bespoke IT system for arranging deliveries and collections.
  • Co‑ordinate with Service Users, families, Health and Social Care Professionals and team members to ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exhibit flexibility and accommodating behaviour.
  • Work within the service operating hours 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday from our offices at Unit 3, Raleigh Court, Riverside Park, Middlesbrough, TS2 1RR.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent ICT and keyboard skills.
  • Experience working in a frontline admin office and in a call centre environment.
  • Confident using a computer system whilst handling telephone calls and interacting with customers and service users face‑to‑face and over the phone with a pleasant manner.
  • High level of organisational and administrative competence.
