Howells Consulting Ltd in London is seeking an experienced CTA personal tax Assistant Manager to join its internal Tax Technical Training and Knowledge Management team. The role focuses on delivering tax updates, seminars and training to fee-earners.

You will liaise with tax advisers at all levels, bring prior HNW personal tax experience, and benefit from flexible hours and homeworking three days a week. The CTA qualification is a prerequisite and knowledge of issues affecting OMBs and companies

Are you a CTA personal tax Assistant Manager looking to escape busy season, time sheets and billing? Or do you currently work in a tax training or tax knowledge role and are looking for the next step in your career?

We are handling an Assistant Manager opportunity with the internal Tax Technical Training and Knowledge Management team of one of London’s leading accountancy firms. The team supports the fee-earners by providing on-going tax technical updates, seminars and training, to ensure they deliver cutting edge, accurate and timely tax advice. The CTA qualification is a pre-requisite, along with a demonstrable background in HNW personal tax. Knowledge of the tax issues effecting OMBs and companies would also be useful, but it is the willingness to broaden one’s knowledge beyond a deep understanding of private client tax that is important. Previous tax training or knowledge management experience would be helpful, but is not critical. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as the incoming individuals will be liaising with tax advisers from across the firm, from new joiners to partner level.

The opportunity would be ideal for an existing Tax technical training Assistant Manager looking to grow their role, but CTAs currently working in a client-facing tax practice role will certainly be considered. The position offers flexible hours and homeworking three days a week.
