The KPMG Tax Technology& Innovation are made up of Technology Consultants, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Architects & Engineers, Multi-disciplinary Engineering teams and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal.

What will you be doing?

As a Tax TechnologyAssistant Manager, you willcombineyourtax and accountingexpertisewithcutting-edgetechnologies, tosupportour clients tonavigate the ever-evolving tax landscape and transform the way we deliver tax services.

In this role you will:
  • Engagewith internal and external stakeholders to understandtheir unique challenges,gatherand documentrequirements, and map outcurrent (‘as-is’)processes
  • Work closely withstakeholders totranslateand articulaterequirementstotechnical teams,including drafting proposed tax processes and design documentation
  • Support with managingthe design,developmentand implementation ofKPMG andthird partytechnology solutionsfor clients, including configuration and testing to ensure functionality and alignment with business objectives
  • Support the development oftechnology solutions andpropositions,participatingintesting and deploymentphases to ensure successful integration
  • Supporttechnology demonstrationsand sales efforts
What will you need to do it?
  • A good understanding or background in accounting or tax is essential.
  • An interest in technology and its application in the taxfunction
  • Ability to quickly adapt tonew technologies, concepts, and modern work practice
  • Ability to workindependently, knowing when to consult and doing thisin a timely manner
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complexrequirements,processesand systems
  • Demonstrable project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
  • Accounting or tax qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CTAor equivalent
  • Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau)
  • Experienceintaxtechnologysolution implementationand configuration
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in tax technology
