Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Systems Production Support Engineer to provide hands-on support for Oracle Fusion Tax and Vertex integrations across Payables, Receivables, and Intercompany processes.

This is a hybrid functional and technical role requiring strong indirect tax knowledge (VAT, GST, Sales & Use, Withholding) and proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and ERP–Vertex troubleshooting. You’ll ensure accurate tax calculation, compliance, and system performance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Oracle Fusion Tax and Vertex configurations for indirect tax (VAT, GST, Sales & Use, Withholding).
• Troubleshoot tax calculation, integration, and data feed issues across AP, AR, and Intercompany.
• Manage tax rule configuration, tax rates, and exemption handling within Fusion and Vertex.
• Analyze and reconcile tax data using SQL (AP, AR, ZX, and IC tables).
• Support tax compliance reporting, period-end processing, and audits.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, procurement, and IT to resolve production issues.
• Test and validate quarterly tax updates and patch implementations.

Key Skills Required

• 5+ years’ experience with Oracle Fusion Tax and Vertex tax systems.
• Strong understanding of indirect taxation (VAT, GST, Sales & Use, Withholding).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting tax integrations within ERP systems.
• Skilled in SQL and data analysis for tax reconciliation.
• Experience with tax reporting, compliance, and audits.
• Familiarity with FBDI/ADFdi, tax subledgers, and period-end tax close.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
