Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Scarborough. They are looking for an experienced tax professional to join their friendly and long-standing team as a Tax Senior / Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to optimise clients' financial positions
  • Analyse financial statements to identify tax-saving opportunities
  • Manage HMRC enquiries as they arise
  • Hold client meetings to discuss financial statements, tax positions and planning opportunities
  • Mentor and support development of junior team members
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client service or introduce additional services
  • Liaise with HMRC, clients, and other professional bodies as required
Requirements
  • Strong experience in UK tax within an accountancy practice
  • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA) highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of tax legislation
  • Confident managing client relationships and handling queries
  • Positive, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience of Sage, Xero or QuickBooks preferred
