Job summary

TPF Recruitment in Guildford is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients within a growing accountancy practice.

You will deliver compliance and advisory work, mentor the tax team, and liaise with HMRC while driving client relationships and service quality. A strong UK tax foundation is essential, with ATT/CTA qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• ATT or CTA qualified or progress toward qualification.
• 4-5 years' experience within a tax role in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and advisory work beneficial.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring a team.
• Excellent communication with clients and HMRC.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Deliver tax compliance work and respond to client queries.
• Provide advisory services in areas like inheritance tax, capital gains tax, estate planning and R&D claims.
• Review and coach junior staff; ensure high technical standards.
• Lead deadlines, workflow and project delivery within the tax function.
• Engage with senior leadership on client matters and technical issues.
• Support business development and networking with clients.
