A leading financial service firm in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee its tax functions. This role offers the opportunity to shape the Group's tax strategy while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in tax management and strong analytical skills. This position provides a hybrid working model and a salary between £70,000 and £80,000, plus performance-based bonuses.

A growing and ambitious NI Top 100 firm is seeking an experiencedTax Managerto join its finance function in a newly created role. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position provides exposure to the Executive Team and Board, offering the opportunity to shape the Group’s tax strategy while supporting ongoing business growth.

You will own the organisation’s tax functions, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong governance standards. Working collaboratively with finance colleagues and business unit managers, you will provide expert guidance on all tax matters and contribute to strategic decision-making at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage preparation and submission of all corporation tax returns

  • Oversee compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other relevant taxes

  • Lead tax reporting under applicable accounting standards

  • Monitor changes in legislation across relevant jurisdictions and assess business impact

  • Act as the main point of contact for external tax advisors

  • Ensure transfer pricing compliance and maintain supporting documentation

  • Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures

  • Conduct internal reviews and develop tax risk reporting frameworks

  • Present tax-related insights to the Board and senior leadership

  • Collaborate on overall tax strategy with senior management

Candidate Skills and Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience

  • Proven experience in tax management, ideally in industry

  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, PAYE, and transfer pricing

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, able to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights

  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders

  • Self-starter with strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both concise and structured
