Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with UK and international tax laws and filing requirements
- Managing UK VAT and supporting corporation tax processes
- Overseeing indirect tax compliance in international territories, including US sales tax and VAT returns in Jersey, Australia and New Zealand
- Supporting US Federal & State tax returns and monitoring Nexus triggers for US States
- Developing tax planning strategies to optimise efficiency and identify savings
- Acting as the first point of contact for HMRC and international tax authorities
- Advising on tax implications of business decisions and monitoring legislative changes
- Building robust tax policies and controls to support compliance and risk management
Qualifications
- Qualified CTA or equivalent with in‑depth knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of corporate tax, VAT, employment tax, and international tax
- Proven experience providing strategic tax advice aligned with business objectives
- In‑depth functional knowledge of tax laws, regulations and compliance
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines
- Developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate data for insight and reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
