The Role

The Tax Manager supports the global finance team and the wider business in all aspects of global tax compliance, planning and risk management.

Reports to the Head of Tax in Belfast.

Key Accountabilities

What you\'ll be doing

  • Corporation tax compliance for the UK trading and holding companies, including Corporate Interest Restriction, managing quarterly tax payments etc
  • Preparation of corporation tax and deferred tax calculations and disclosures for individual and consolidated financial statements (IFRS)
  • Involvement in all aspects of compliance and risk management, including SAO reporting and corporate criminal responsibility obligations
  • Tax forecasting by legal entity from a tax charge and cash flow perspective
  • Involvement in tax related projects e.g. Pillar 2 implementation, CbCR, driving tax automation
  • Helping to ensure that that group\'s transfer pricing policies, procedures and documentation are fully compliant
  • Building relationships with HMRC and other tax authorities
  • Partnering with the business to provide tax advice on commercial issues
  • Assisting with UK VAT compliance and advising on ad hoc VAT queries
  • Working with tax advisors in overseas jurisdictions to ensure full compliance with local filing requirements and supervising local tax audits
Skills & Experience

You\'ll need to demonstrate:

  • Qualified accountant and/or tax adviser
  • Solid background in UK Corporate tax (5+ years)
  • Good communication skills, ability to build and manage relationships
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and apply your tax knowledge in a hands-on and commercial manner
  • Experience of other UK taxes and/or international tax is desirable but not essential
