Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Processing of personal self-assessment tax returns.
  • Preparation of basic income & expenditure accounts for sole traders.
  • Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs.

Job description

We will support you in your growth as a tax advisor and have a proven track record with a training plan with tangible results for apprentices.

Responsibilities
  • Processing of personal self‑assessment tax returns
  • Processing of partnership self‑assessment tax returns
  • Processing of forms P11d
  • Preparation of basic income & expenditure accounts for sole traders
  • Preparation of rental accounts
  • Checking & agreeing PAYE coding notices
  • Checking & agreeing taxation statements of account
  • Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs by telephone or correspondence as required
  • General day‑to‑day handling of clients’ tax affairs

In‑house training of our systems and procedures will be given. Please note this is a junior role and may include other roles not mentioned above, such as administrative duties.

Candidate

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard‑working person to join our busy tax team.

Skills

The successful candidate will be able to work in a team and on their own. The individual will need to be able to manage deadlines set by their colleagues. They should be hardworking and professional. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Outlook. Full clean driving licence would be preferable.

Qualifications

GCSEs: 5 or more graded 6 or above to include Maths and English. A/S and A Levels grade B or above.
