Job Overview
You will contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the client, building and maintaining tax relationships with clients to provide high levels of client service. You'll contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business focus approach. Key Projects
- Pre-transaction reorganisations and post-transaction integration
- Optimisation of capital structure and financing
- Optimisation of intellectual property ownership and reliefs
- Managing the risk arising from global law change such as BEPS
- Lobbying and negotiation with tax authorities in the UK and globally
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to new client acquisition
- Manage the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business focus approach
- Overall responsibility for the quality of client service
- Manage potential leads from other areas of the practice
- Build networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage
- Develop junior staff through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring
- Significant involvement in team management, strategy, operations and staff development and assignments
- Client focus and commercial awareness
- Strong international and UK tax technical skills and understanding
- Commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering high‑quality outputs
- Negotiation skills and ability to handle challenges
- Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage engagement financial results
- Effective time management, remaining calm under pressure to meet deadlines

Qualifications
- Experienced tax practitioner with deep experience of tax transactions
- Preferred qualifications: ATT, ACA, CA, CTA or an equivalent breadth of knowledge (e.g., law qualification)
- Graduate or equivalent work experience
- Experience managing a team and/or coaching and developing team members
- Project management skills – plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget
