Mott MacDonald Bentley in Skipton invites applications for a Tax and Compliance Manager to lead tax reporting and compliance within our Finance team. The role covers corporation tax, VAT, CIS and PAYE compliance, with a focus on controls and process improvement.

You will work with the Group Tax function, promote tax awareness, and embed digitisation to streamline data and reporting. Hybrid working is supported with office presence in Skipton.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in a similar tax and compliance role.
• Finance or Tax qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CTA.
• Experience with ERP systems, databases and large data sets.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in a varied role with regular reporting and ad hoc project work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to change.
• Experience in the construction sector is advantageous but not required.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and submit the annual Corporation Tax return for the Group.
• Prepare quarterly corporation tax provisions and the Group Payment Arrangement estimate.
• Support internal stakeholders and external advisers with the preparation of the annual RDEC claim.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for the VAT Group.
• Prepare and submit the CIS return and PAYE settlement agreement.
• Manage and enhance the controls that support accurate and compliant tax reporting.
• Act as the point of contact for tax queries from HMRC, internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Promote training and awareness of tax issues throughout the wider organisation.
• Provide tax planning advice to the organisation when required.
• Embed new tax technology and promote increased digitisation to support efficient and accurate tax reporting and data compilation.
• Undertake internal tax assurance reviews and continuously review tax legislation to identify relevant changes.
• Complete ad hoc compliance tasks, which may include National Living Wage, GDPR and general internal audit responsibilities.
