Job summary

The Tax Assistant Manager role sits in the Technology, Media & Consumer Markets (TMC) team, delivering corporation tax compliance, reporting and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio.

You will work with Partners and Directors to manage the delivery of tax projects, develop client relationships, coach juniors, and help shape proactive tax solutions for fast-moving clients

Qualifications

• Strong UK corporate tax technical knowledge with experience in compliance and exposure to advisory work.
• CTA and/or ACA qualified.
• Experience preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations, tax returns and tax accounting disclosures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise work effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients and colleagues.
• Experience building and maintaining professional client relationships.
• Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
• Commercial awareness and a collaborative approach to working across service lines.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of corporation tax compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients within the Technology, Media & Consumer Markets sector
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations, tax returns and tax accounting disclosures to a high technical standard
• Take ownership of day‑to‑day client communications and develop relationships with client finance teams
• Assist with the delivery of tax advisory projects across a range of corporate tax matters
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed within budget and agreed timescales
• Work collaboratively with specialists across the wider tax practice to provide joined‑up solutions for clients
• Support business development initiatives including sector events, thought leadership and client relationship activities
• Ensure engagement and risk management procedures are completed in line with firm requirements
• Supervise, coach and support junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture
