Job summary

ProTalent is recruiting a Tax and Accounts Semi Senior on the Kent/Sussex border. The role offers a genuine mix of accounts and tax work with an emphasis on building client relationships and exposure to advisory work.

You will work with owner-managed and family-owned businesses and will benefit from full study support. The position provides a salary between £28,000 and £35,000 depending on experience, with comprehensive study support and opportunities to grow within a small, established firm

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice, ideally across both accounts and tax.
• AAT qualified or ATT/ACCA part qualified, or qualified by experience with the right depth.
• Comfortable dealing with clients rather than sitting behind the work.
• Desire for variety and involvement across the board.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Handle VAT returns and bookkeeping work.
• Communicate with clients to resolve day-to-day queries.
• Support directors on planning and advisory work as it arises.
